Brochures are a very popular product and used by many businesses to showcase their offerings.  Restaurants use them for take out and delivery menu’s, while other businesses use them to outline services or promote their company.  There are many stock options as well as sizes and types of folds, but 80lb c2s text and 100lb c2s text are the most common choice for paper.  Check out the stock tab for better explanation on paper options.  Standard folds are roll fold, trifold, z-fold and half fold to name a few.  Click on the finishing tab to review some of the folding options for brochures.

80lb c2s Text

This is less commonly stock for flyers, brochures, posters, magazines and gives a professional quality thickness to the paper stock.  It is thinner than 100lb c2s text, but folds easier and tends to not require scoring.  This is more common in thicker magazines as it weights less for postage and is not thin enough to bleed through the other side.  It also is ideal for folded brochure if cracking is a concern with your clients.  It is not what most people order, so turn around times might be on the later edge of our suggested timelines for production.

100lb c2s Text

This is the most common stock for flyers, brochures, posters, magazines and gives a professional quality thickness to the paper stock.  It is commonly folded, but it is often recommended to add the option of scoring to reduce cracking on the folds.  Most people don’t score the brochures, but depending on your client’s preference of cost verses quality is may be the best option.  The paper is a nice balance between thickness and maintaining the ability to fold easily.
